Community Guidelines
A small set of principles that keep our channels useful, welcoming, and safe for everyone.
Be respectful
Disagreements about architecture and tooling are healthy — personal attacks are not. Assume good faith and critique ideas, not people.
Keep it safe
Never share API keys, customer data, or credentials — even in private channels. Report security issues through our responsible disclosure process, not public channels.
Stay on topic
Channels are organized by domain (CORTEX, Forge, MergeGate, skills, deployment). Keep discussions relevant so search and history stay useful for everyone.
Contribute constructively
Bug reports with repro steps, PRs with tests, and skills with documentation are the highest-leverage contributions. Small, focused PRs merge faster than large ones.
Contribute
How to Contribute
From your first typo fix to a new agent specialization — here's the path most contributions take.
Find an issue
Browse issues labeled "good first issue" or "help wanted" in the core repo, or propose a new skill in the #skill-proposals channel.
Open an RFC for big changes
Anything touching CORTEX routing, MergeGate scoring, or the agent protocol needs a short RFC discussion before a PR — keeps reviews fast and surprises low.
Write code + tests
Follow the existing module structure. Every new skill needs a manifest, a usage example, and at least one test. MergeGate runs on every PR.
Submit & iterate
Open a PR against main. A maintainer will review within 48h. AutoFix may suggest small corrections automatically — accept or revise as needed.
Showcase
Built by the Community
A few of the skills, agents, and integrations the community has shipped this quarter.
nexus-slack-ops
by @devrel_chen
A Slack bot skill that lets on-call engineers trigger NEXUS Forge runs and get MergeGate scores posted directly into incident channels.
cortex-cost-dashboard
by @priyanair
A Grafana dashboard that visualizes CORTEX's UCB1 routing decisions in real time — model tier distribution, EWMA reputation per agent, and cost per task.
nexus-db-migrator
by @marcus_okafor
A community-built ComponentAgent specialization that handles zero-downtime Postgres migrations with automatic rollback plans validated by MergeGate.
mergegate-junit-bridge
by @oss_yusuf
Translates MergeGate's 5-axis composite score into a JUnit XML report so it shows up natively in Jenkins, CircleCI, and GitLab CI test summaries.
